VEESART FINANCIAL LLC ANNOUNCES NAME CHANGE TO ALIA WEALTH PARTNERS, LLC.
Name change, new location final steps in ownership/management transition plan
GERMANTOWN, TENN. (January 28, 2019) – – – Veesart Financial LLC, a Germantown-based comprehensive financial services firm founded in 2005 by Steve Veesart, announced today a new name, Alia Wealth Partners, as well as new leadership and a new location. Steve Veesart’s planned retirement went into effect December 31, 2018.
Alia Wealth Partners will be led by Lindsey K. Donovan, CFP® as Managing Director-Financial Advisor. Donovan is supported by Leslie M. Parker, Registered Client Service Manager, and Mary D. Sloka, Client Service Associate.
Donovan joined Veesart Financial in 2011. She became a partner in 2014, and she worked closely with Steve Veesart to lead the firm effective at the end of 2018.
Alia Wealth Partners also moved at the beginning of December 2018 to a new location at 7475 McVay Station Court, Suite 107, in Germantown.
Woman-led investment firms are rare, according to the 2018 Investment News Compensation & Staffing Study Update, with only 17.9 percent of practicing partners (typically, an owner-adviser) being female. According to this same study, even though this number represents an uptick in female leadership, it also shows the challenge of recruiting and retaining females to the field. More than 40 percent of entry-level advisers are women but attrition takes the number of women who are owner-advisers down to that 17.9 percent.
Donovan is a graduate of the University of Memphis and a Certified Financial Planner™. She holds her Series 7, 24 and 66 registrations as well as Life, Variable and Health licenses. She previously worked at Morgan Keegan.

My aunt set up a college account for me that we monitored together, and she was very involved with her own investments and planning.
